We will keep you in our prayers with the focus being on the reasons
you have not accepted the gift of God's grace. Take a moment and think
about those reasons. Allow us to share some of the reasons, that the
bible says, people make this choice. If you don't have a bible to view
these scriptures we have a link to help you;
www.biblegateway.com. If you
don't understand the bible, know that most cannot understand it
because of the spiritual condition of their minds. But there is a
remedy! By asking Christ into your heart, the Holy Spirit comes to
help you. (John 14:26; Acts 2:38; Romans 8:26) None can fully
communicate what occurs when this supernatural indwelling takes place.
Words don't exist to explain it. But when it does happen, you certainly
feel it. It changes your perspective. God's insight changes our outlook.
The bible says, "His Spirit bears witness with ours, that we are His"
(Romans 8:16) It also talks about spiritual blindness and dullness
of hearing. (2 Cor.4:4, Acts 28:27)
See, there is a force out there who's intent on keeping people in the dark. His objective is to kill, steal
and destroy us. He even knows there is one God. (James 2:19) It makes
him tremble. Read John 10:10 and you will notice in that passage it also
states that Jesus' objective is to bring us life. (a gift) Life in it's
fullness, the way God created us to live, in a thriving relationship
with Him. This is a simple concept that the "thief" wants to confuse and
complicate, merely because it is life giving. A divine gift from God.
This enemy doesn't want you to live, let alone live in abundance.
God is not confusing. He cannot lie, steal or cause evil. He is Holy and
in Him there is no darkness or shadow. (1 John 1:5) The enemy is called
the Prince of Darkness. If you are new to the message of the gospel, but
willing to learn of it, you can start with reading the bible. But please
be aware, if you don't understand it, it only proves the spiritual
warfare going on. This is mankind's common condition before we come to
know Christ. The book of John is a good place to start, as it
tells the message of Christ's life. The book of Romans tells of the
condition of mankind and their need for a Savior. (see Romans 3:23;
3:10; 6:23; 5:8; 10:9, 13, 17)
The word gospel means "good news". Jesus'
very birth announcement brought good news.( Luke 2:8-14) Notice in this
passage the announcement made by the Host of Angels was brought to lowly
shepherds. It was also brought to the Magi, the three Kings. John
3:16 tells even further that the message was for the entire world.
(including you) He came to expose people to the light of the good news.
(Luke 1:78 & 79; John 1:4&5). The reason we are giving you scriptures is
because the Word of God always accomplishes it's purpose. If we were to
use our words, we cannot communicate it fully. God is complete. In His
likeness, you were created with a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) If you
sincerely want to understand this gospel, the good news of life, God
sees your heart. He will meets with us. He will not
withhold His gift from a sincere heart. (Psalms 119:130; James 1:5) God's hope is that you will
invite Him into your heart. He loves you and so do we.(1 Peter 2:9
Romans 8:32-38) So deep is His love that absolutely nothing can
separate us from it.
If there is a fear presently keeping you
from trusting in Him, know that God didn't give this fear. It is merely
another trick of the mind that the enemy of your soul wants to shackle
you with. (2 Timothy 1:7) We have to also make you aware that God says
His spirit will not always strive with men. (Genesis 6:7) Which means
that there is coming a time when the opportunity for establishing a
relationship with Him will be no more. Through His word He repeatedly tells us to call on Him while He may be found. Time is of the
essence. He has gone to great lengths to send this gospel to all men and
is hopeful that none will die lost. Such a deep love He has for man that
He sent His only son to redeem us. It was a brutality of graphic
bloodshed so fierce that he wasn't recognizable afterwards.
Without the shedding of that precious, holy blood, our sins could not be
remitted. (Hebrews 9:22)
Some think they are too far gone for God to
care anymore. That is a lie. The bible tells us that
His mercy is new with the sunrise and where sin abounds, grace abounds
more. (Romans 5:20; 6:1) After being made aware, we are not to continue
in sin. John 3:16 in its full explanation tells us that for worldly
sins, the dark, deep and shameful sins is exactly what we are
delivered from! Confessing them breaks their strongholds
over us, when we allow God to come into our hearts. This good news
brought in and through this holy sacrifice of Christ's is wonderful news
that we have a choice for life. Why would we choose any other? (except
that we are being deceived by the one who craves our death without
Christ).
If you are thinking this is too high for you to attain, we
agree. We, in ourselves, cannot cleanse our lives. We can turn over new
leafs and do short lived and unfulfilling things in efforts to
clean up. Those changes do not last and we struggle to maintain the good
that comes. This is the exciting part of the gospel! The Holy Spirit
comes to live in us and through us, empowering the lasting changes that
we need. This changed life is so full of joy and peace that we cannot fully describe
it. Signs of life follow. They continue into eternity as our hope
springs eternal and He changes us from glory to glory as we grow. It is an
exciting adventurous life. The kind of life He wants us to have. The
very reason we are born!
